Agreement

Scope and sequence

We first discuss your goals, then provide a proposal defining the website scope, project fee, timeline, responsibilities, review process, and payment terms. Work begins after both parties sign the agreement and we receive the stated deposit.

Invoices and secure payments

After the proposal and agreement are approved, we issue a secure electronic invoice through Square or another selected payment processor. The invoice displays the available ACH bank-transfer, credit-card, or other payment options; ACH is preferred for larger project payments. The deposit must clear before work begins, and the final balance must clear before launch, source transfer, or account handoff.

Enter payment credentials only on the processor's secure payment page. Do not send card numbers, bank-account information, or other payment credentials through our inquiry form, project documents, or ordinary email.

Direction and build

After the agreement and deposit, we present the strategy, messaging, and visual direction for your review. We build the approved direction and complete the revisions included in the scope. Material additions or changes may require an updated scope, timeline, or fee.

Code rights and accounts

After final payment, you receive the completed website source code and the rights stated in your signed agreement to use, host, deploy, maintain, and modify the project-specific custom website independently or through another provider. We also provide or transfer the agreed repository, deployment information, domain control, hosting project, and related service access.

Third-party software, open-source libraries, fonts, media, platforms, and services remain subject to their own licenses, terms, plan limits, and fees. Any pre-existing or reusable tools excluded from a transfer will be identified in the agreement.

Domain and hosting costs

You may purchase the domain directly in an account your business controls, or authorize us to purchase or configure it for later transfer. The agreement identifies who pays the initial charge, recurring annual renewals, optional privacy services, taxes, hosting plans, email services, and other third-party fees. Registrar transfer restrictions or waiting periods may affect timing.

Netlify access and care plans

If Netlify hosts the website, handoff can include transferring the project to a client-controlled Netlify team and making you a Team Owner. We verify the live domain and agreed project settings, then remove our access unless you authorize us to remain in an appropriate role for ongoing care. Netlify’s current transfer rules, roles, plan limits, and charges apply.

Essential Site Care starts at $99/month for defined maintenance, weekly backups, and one batched small-update request with up to 15 minutes of hands-on work. Managed Site Care is the recommended option and starts at $199/month with managed hosting, up to 30 minutes of monthly content updates, up to two requests, and a faster response window. Neither plan includes unlimited edits or support. Additional work is $125/hour in 30-minute increments, with a $62.50 minimum. The project-specific care agreement controls the exact scope, access, billing, and cancellation terms.

Forms, privacy, and SEO

The agreement documents the hosting and email providers used for an included inquiry form, how submissions are delivered to your business, and who is responsible for customer information after receipt. For sites using the same configuration as this portfolio, a Netlify Function processes the form and Resend delivers transactional email.

We can provide on-page and technical SEO foundations, but search engines control their results. We do not guarantee a particular ranking, first-page placement, traffic level, lead volume, revenue, or result for every relevant search.
